A facebook exchange between David and Britt...
Hi Britt, this sounds awesome! Thank you so much for the recipe and note about it. We're looking forward to making Frikadeller tonight and will get it up on the blog soon after. It will be interesting to think about the Swedish meatball dish we made in January while cooking and eating Frikadeller.
Oh my Dave, I didn't know you had Swedish meatballs. They are very similar. Scandinavians and their meatballs, let me tell you..... If you want a different recipe for Denmark so that you have some diversity between countries, PLEASE let me know. We have tons! Have a great day!
"These meatballs are are as popular in Denmark, as a hamburger is in the U.S. Made in every home, they are traditionally served with pickled red cabbage, pickled beets, pickled cucumber, boiled parsley potatoes and/or potato salad. Enjoy!"
